Pierre Digan (1941-2016) settled in La Borne from 1960 to 1979.
Many potters came to work at his house, some of whom are still active in the village today. Illustrious turners such as Janet Stedman, Christine Pedley, and Éric Astoul passed through his home. Pierre Digan's mark is still visible in La Borne, where you can notably find the colorful totem he sculpted there. Pierre Digan also produced numerous ceramic screens and coverings both privately and for public commissions. While sculpture marked his life, he also published his magazines, Obia, on several themes related to ceramics.
Period: vintage - 70s

Height: approximately 22 cm
Width: approximately 16 cm
Weight: 0.9 kg

Condition :
Excellent condition. Clearly very little use. Impeccable spout. Note that the black spots, drips, and small holes are actually the remains of small pyrite grains mixed with the clay and melted during firing. They give the stoneware its character.
